Meet Ben.
My story begins in 2016. I joined CrossFit St. Catharines and was immediately drawn into the community built around a love of fitness. While completing my education with Niagara College in the Fitness & Health Promotion Program I was an active member of CrossFit St. Catharines (now known as The Yard/Fit Collective Studio). My graduating year of 2018 I approached Ashley Smith-Mathewson and began my Coach Prep to eventually step into the role of coach. Fast-forward almost 10 years, a few gym name/location changes along the way; I am still part of this amazing community.
Over the course of the last 10 years I’ve successfully completed my CrossFit Level 1 and Level 2 courses to become a CrossFit Level 2 Trainer. Also successfully acquired the Burgener Strength Weightlifting Level 1 and always working on improving and learning where I can.
When I’m not challenging myself at the gym I enjoy participating in Spartan races, playing video games and being outdoors. I prioritize spending quality time with my family and attending church on Sundays. With anytime left you can find me training which usually consists of a good mix of running and lifting.
I have a deep passion for helping others find their love of fitness and introducing people into a world I love so much. I am always eager to guide my members and my personal training clients to obtain their goals and strive for new heights.
