Meet Alex.

I joined Fit Collective in the beginning of 2022. Looking for a change I walked through the front doors and knew there was something different about this place right away.

Physical activity has always been a top outlet for me. It’s the time I get to do something for myself, clear my head and experience some of the most rewarding and challenging moments. I grew up in a house with three brothers so daily activity was a given. If you know me you won’t find it hard to believe that I beat them in everything ;)

I’ve played competitive sports my whole life including hockey, volleyball and soccer. Pretty much any activity or sport they offered at school I wanted to be apart of. I have been a member at various fitness clubs, yoga studios and arenas since I was a little kid. I love movement and thrive when doing so.

When I stopped playing hockey competitively I felt lost. I was losing that team, competitive, goal oriented, results driven environment that I craved. That’s when I found Crossfit. I had finally found a sport again that challenges me everyday, in every way possible, which keeps me coming back for more and more.

I am very grateful for the opportunity to coach here at Fit Collective, a place many people know has been a second home for me since joining. I have been a City of Hamilton Firefighter since 2018 and am so glad to have found an additional role where I can give back to the community , while trying to improve the lives of others. I can’t wait to motivate, inspire and teach others as a coach, while continuing to learn and develop as an athlete!
